To Improve Their Athletic Performance: Aden Deaf Club Distributes Dates to 245 Male and Female Players

As part of ongoing efforts to empower persons with disabilities and enhance their physical fitness, the Deaf Club in the capital, Aden, implemented a project to distribute dates to 245 male and female club members. This activity comes with generous support from the High Relief Committee and under the direct supervision of the National Network for Advocating the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Mr. Islam Dahmas, President of the Deaf Club and Sports Officer at the National Network, emphasized that this distribution is not merely in-kind assistance, but a step aimed at improving the health and nutritional status of deaf athletes. Dahmas explained, “Nutrition is a fundamental pillar for enhancing the capabilities of young athletes, ensuring their better integration into society through sports. The Club and the Network are committed to providing everything necessary to develop the skills of this group.”

​For its part, the leadership of the National Network for Advocating the Rights of Persons with Disabilities extended special thanks to the General Coordinator of the High Relief Committee, Mr. Jamal Balfaqih, praising his pivotal role in facilitating the delivery of aid to this group and addressing their needs, which contributes to easing their social integration.

​The Network also praised the facilities provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the local authority, both of which strive to empower persons with disabilities and secure their legitimate rights. This includes Mr. Abdulrahman Sheikh, Minister of State and Governor of Aden, and Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafe’i, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, for their personal interest and direct sponsorship of this group, working to overcome obstacles and ensure their active participation in public life.
